Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions about our services and how we work.
Company
Telia Informatique SARL is an IT services and engineering company founded in October 2002 by experienced professionals from the IT and telecom sectors. It positions itself as an IT and telecom solutions integrator, able to work across the entire digital value chain.
Our offices are located on Boulevard des Tensoaba (former ring road) in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. We operate in Burkina Faso as well as across West and Central Africa.
Telia Informatique built its expertise through the computerisation projects of the Ministry of Finance of Burkina Faso, in particular the CIE, LPCE, SGBF and CID software. Publishable work is presented in the Projects section of this website, updated as our clients authorise disclosure.
Through the form on the Contact page, by e-mail at contact@teliainfo.com, or by phone at + (226) 25-37-73-35. The form is the most effective route for a project enquiry: it sends us directly the information we need to prepare an answer.
Yes. Our business solutions serve public administration, banking and insurance, industry and construction, retail and distribution, transport and logistics, mining and energy, as well as NGOs and development projects.
Yes. The website is bilingual, in French and English. The language switcher sits at the top right of every page, and your choice is kept throughout your visit.
Services
Our offering is organised into seven areas: Digital & Software (software engineering), Infrastructure & Telecom (networks and IT infrastructure), Cybersecurity, Business Solutions (business software), Audit & Advisory (consulting), Academy (training) and Support & Managed Services. The detail of each area is available on the Services page.
It means we handle the ten stages of a digital project: consulting, study, design, development, integration, deployment, training, maintenance, support and evolution. You do not have to coordinate several providers across the critical links.
Yes. Our Digital & Software area covers custom development, ERP and business software, web and mobile applications, institutional portals, e-commerce, APIs and interoperability, as well as ongoing maintenance of delivered solutions.
Yes. Our Business Solutions area covers finance and accounting, human resources, inventory management, fixed asset management and fleet management. These solutions are tailored to your organisation during implementation.
Yes: LAN and WAN networks, server infrastructure, professional Wi-Fi, telecommunications (VoIP, business telephony, mobile connectivity), structured copper and fibre cabling, datacentre, virtualisation, backup, infrastructure security, monitoring and maintenance.
Yes, through Telia Academy. The areas covered are IT fundamentals, software development, networks, cybersecurity, databases, office tools, information systems, IT project management, generative AI, data and business intelligence, and digital transformation. Training is available to individuals, companies and institutions, on site or online.
Yes. Our Cybersecurity area covers security audits, threat protection, network security, access control, backup and recovery, application security, user awareness, IT continuity and compliance support.
Yes, that is the role of our Audit & Advisory area: information system diagnosis, IT and organisational audits, IT master plan, feasibility studies, project ownership assistance, architecture, digital strategy and process optimisation. The approach follows five steps: listen, analyse, advise, support, transform.
Pricing
Go to the Contact page and fill in the quote request form. The required fields are your first name, last name, e-mail, the subject of your enquiry and a description of your project. You can also add your phone number, your organisation, an estimated budget and a preferred timeline. Your request lands directly in our administration area.
The more precise your description, the more precise our answer. Describe the context, the goal, who will use the solution, any known technical or regulatory constraints, any existing system to build on, and your timeline. An estimated budget, even a rough one, helps us calibrate the proposal.
No. Reviewing your enquiry and issuing a proposal does not commit you to anything.
No, for a simple reason: the cost of a project depends on its scope, duration, number of users and the level of support chosen. Every proposal is drawn up after analysing your specific needs.
Your request is recorded and tracked in our administration area, with a status that evolves as it is processed. We get back to you by e-mail or phone, depending on the contact details you provided, to clarify the need before issuing a proposal.
Technical
Both are possible. The information system diagnosis exists precisely to determine what can be kept, modernised or replaced. Our API and interoperability services also let a new solution connect to the tools you already run.
It depends on the chosen solution. We offer hosting in a secure, highly available datacentre, as well as server infrastructure installed on your premises. The decision is made with you, based on your sovereignty, performance and budget constraints.
Security is addressed from the design stage: access control and identity management, network security and firewalls, application security, backup and recovery, IT continuity planning, and user awareness. We also support compliance with the applicable standards and regulations.
Yes. Training is one of the ten stages of our value chain, and Telia Academy handles skills development for your teams, both on the delivered solutions and on broader technologies.
Go-live is not the end of the project. Evolutive maintenance keeps the solution growing with your needs, and managed services ensure its day-to-day availability. The last two links in our value chain are precisely support and evolution.
Deliverables, including technical and functional documentation, are defined in each project's proposal and contract. Terms regarding source code depend on the type of solution: custom development, adaptation of business software, or integration of a third-party product. This is clarified before signing.
Support
Preventive maintenance to anticipate failures, corrective maintenance for fast repairs, remote assistance, on-site intervention for critical situations, user support, monitoring, systems administration and technical guidance.
We offer maintenance contracts with packages tailored to your needs and budget. The exact terms, in particular response times and covered scope, are set out in the contract.
If you are already a client under contract, use the channel agreed with your contact. Otherwise, write to contact@teliainfo.com or call + (226) 25-37-73-35, stating the solution concerned and the nature of the problem.
Yes. Monitoring allows proactive incident detection rather than after-the-fact reaction. It is part of both our Support & Managed Services and Infrastructure & Telecom offerings.
This is assessed case by case, depending on the equipment and environment. Describe your situation through the contact form and we will tell you what we can take on.
Careers and applications
Open the Careers section, then Job openings, and select the role you are interested in. The "Apply" button opens a four-step form: identity, professional background, documents, then a summary before sending. You can go back at any point to correct a step.
Three documents are required: your CV, your most recent diploma and an identity document (national ID card or passport). For a job opening, you may also attach a proof of experience and a cover letter, both optional.
PDF, JPG, PNG and WebP files are accepted, up to 10 MB per document. The format is checked against the actual file content: renaming the extension is not enough to get a file through.
Yes. The Internships page has an "Open application" button available at all times, even when no internship offer is online. The form asks for your preferred field, your school, the intended duration and your availability date.
An internship offer matches an identified need, with a title, a department and sometimes a deadline. An open application is not attached to any offer: you describe the internship you are looking for, and we get back to you if an opportunity matches your profile.
A confirmation message appears as soon as the submission succeeds. If you do not see it, the application was not sent: check that the three required documents are attached and that the data processing consent box is ticked.
Your data and documents are processed as part of your application, as stated in the consent box on the form. Files are stored outside the public areas of the website and can only be viewed by a signed-in administrator: no applicant document is publicly accessible.
Yes, each opening is applied to separately. Note that a limited number of submissions per hour applies from a single connection, to prevent automated sending; in normal use you will not notice it.
The website does not offer an applicant portal yet. Each application is tracked internally with a status, and we contact you by the e-mail or phone you provided if your profile matches. To follow up, write to contact@teliainfo.com, quoting the job title and the date you applied.
